Redirect
editThis person is not notable enough to merit their own article. This should be a redirect to the group. VQuakr (talk) 00:29, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with you. It's just how to deal with the fans who refuse to accept that fact. 夢追人YumeChaser 16:41, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
- Their song has achieved significant popularity in Korea. With over 16,000 news articles featuring their name: [1] that more than passes the requirements for WP:NOTE.--Crossmr (talk) 06:10, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

- that's her name, I didn't search for the group. I checked several of the first articles and they don't mention the group at all. They mention only her--Crossmr (talk) 06:23, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- In fact they're all talking about her work as a DJ on the radio program which is completely separate from her work on the group and doesn't involve them at all. Sorry, but there is plenty of notability here. There are 20 articles in the last 2 days just talking about her work as a DJ and her single.--Crossmr (talk) 06:30, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- Are there any English sources? If none are available of equivalent quality then it may be helpful to provide a translation. VQuakr (talk) 07:33, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- No, that is a Korean news search I provided. They all come from national news sites and news papers. they're plenty reliable and plenty capable of conveying notability. If you have a specific question you can request it, but I'm not going to translate 16000 articles.--Crossmr (talk) 08:03, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

- Not particularly; I was following the policy in WP:NONENG. I do not view it as a critical issue though if you are busy. VQuakr (talk) 08:33, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

My translation ability is not particularly fast, but I'll do what I can. I'm currently planning a vacation to Japan and will be leaving in a couple days. I'll locate the text that is being sourced in the articles and start with those as translation. I'll also see if I can poke a Korean editor who can translate much faster than I.--Crossmr (talk) 08:50, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I would place this particular request pretty low on the priority list though. VQuakr (talk) 09:00, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

The difference between single and album in Korea
editI was born and lived in South Korea except for the last one year in US. Moreover, I am an one of main writers regarding Brown Eyed Girls (BEG) and its members including Narsha, especially in Korean version of Wikipedia. I know the system of music business in Korea. There had not been the concept of singles until the era of MP3. There had been only albums. The singers usually picked their title song among the tracks in album. With regard to Narsha's 1st solo album, there was no definite single. Therefore, I think that the single with "I'm in love" should be removed. She and her company picked "Bbi Ri Bba Bba" as a tile song, which was not definitely released as a single, either. However, "Mamamia" is the REAL single. For the benefit from the calculation in chart system (the proportion of selling as CD or digital single is relatively higher than the proportion of streaming service point), most Korean music companies prefer to produce a digital single rather than other format, especially in the subsequent song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mezquita1111 (talk • contribs) 23:40, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
I never said anything about it being the title track, only that it was released as a preview - which I'm fairly certain it was. I was just listing the singles she's released. Since it was the first I KNOW of (I don't remember Bbi Ri Bba Bba actually being released separately - other than the music video, I mean) I put it in. The fact is, though, it actually GOT a release. In that case it was her first solo release. It's worth mentioning. It's nothing about which is the "real" single, it's about what actually exists. I also haven't heard much to this effect, but isn't Mamma Mia supposed to be on her upcoming repackage? If so, then it's nothing to do with the NARSHA album (it's only a preview anyway). What the title single is isn't really important to this page if it wasn't released as a single (to be listed, anyway. Perhaps if it was written on the album's actual page, as a note, but not on her main page).
(Also, I removed the album tracklist the first time because I'm fairly certain those aren't meant to be used on English wikipedia articles other than the album's article itself. I know they're on the Korean one, but still... fairly sure not here. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.) ~Chelsea (talk) 00:39, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.
