Site of 2011 game?

If the 2011 game is held in Indianapolis, it would be held either at Lucas Oil Stadium, the retractable-roof facility presently being built, or the Conseco Fieldhouse. The RCA Dome will be demolished once Lucas Oil is finished.

They already said it(Lucas Oil) would host the womens the following year

• While it may not make much (or any) sense at all, NCAASports.com lists the RCA Dome as the host for the 2011 Women's Final Four. If they change it, then it should be changed accordingly. The host of the women's tournament, the Horizon League, has stated that Lucas Oil Stadium will host the Final Four. [1] Thus, the information has been changed back. Calwatch 03:59, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

New Template

I created a new template under Template:NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament for historical purposes for each year the event is being held. It's like the men's tourney template, but focused more on the women's event. Please help out by adding this template to each annual tourney. Thanks. NoseNuggets (talk) 10:00 PM US EDT Mar 19 2008.

Summary table addition

I added a table to the article, containing the results for each year. On one hand it is on the large side, making the article page a bit larger than 100K, sometimes viewed as a measure of when a page should be considered for splitting.

On the other hand, it is extremely relevant and useful; one can sort on teams, and easily see when a team first made it to the tournament, how many years they have been invited, and the results for each year. One can also sort by year, and see all the results for the year, sorted with the winners at the top.

I don't see an obvious way to make it smaller, but open to suggestions.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 22:06, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Sometimes an incremental improvement is really a step back. Entering some of the 2012 values but not others, leads to confusion. I really need to update the whole year, but haven't gotten to it. The entire year should be updated or none.

It may be puzzling that the 2012 column is not filled in. It may be further puzzling to the IP who fixed some, but not all entries.

The reason the column is blank is that it is populated by an algorithm based upon the NCAA results, which are due out in a few weeks. If someone wants to do all 64 years by hand, be my guest, otherwise, I'll update it when the NCAA year end report comes out.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 01:11, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

I'm not aure if I'm putting this comment in the right place...But the "Championships by Conference" section is a bit messed up in my opinion. Notre Dame won the NCAA Championship in 2001 as a member of The Big East (Now the American). Notre Dame's championship should therefore count towards the Big East's total, not the ACC's total. St. Francis & St. Francis PA error

UConn

Connecticut is the only team that had both men and women winning the National Championship in the same year. This happened in 2004, and again in 2014. Can someone please add this into the article, in an appropriate section? Thanks. Go, Huskies! Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 18:36, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

Why is NCAAW dealt with differently than NCAAB?

Why is there no table of championships, and only championship appearances? The men's side doesn't do that. Woman's NCAA Tournament Bracket

I have an idea for a better structure for the women's bracket, and I am positive that the #1 seeds won't be emptying there benches at Hafetime. Instead of the #1seed playing the #16 team, the #1 seed plays the #9 team. #2 would play 10, #3 vs #11, #4 vs #12, #5-13, #6-14, #7-15, and #8-16. If you really look at it, all teams odds of winning or losing changes. There would be more excitement in #1 vs #9 then there is in #1 vs #16. Yeah, there won't be that #8 vs #9 battle that could go anyway, that 1 battle turns into 8 battles. Also, the first round, instead of maybe 1 or 2 upsets, there could be all upsets in the first round. Selecting a bracket should give fairness to every team, and every Senior that is possibly playing their final collegiate game. Does U Conn worry about getting upset by any school that is seeded#16. He'll no! Why? Recruiting. We won't go into that, cause U Conn, Tennessee,

a few others schools don't actually recruit anyone. The school's name attracts 3 or 4.  school standouts each year. So, this is something to consider. Aren't y'all tired of the Same Thing every year? The same outcome every year? The same Final Four almost every year? Think about it.
