editI'd question wthether Mt Damper Falls at 78m is the highest in North Island (though it seems to be a common belief down Taranaki way, I've seen it stated in tourist literature).
Wairere Falls in the Kaimais is 153m, Ananui Falls not far away is quoted at 345 feet (whatever that is in metres, about 105m I guess), and Waitakere Falls west of Auckland is 94.5m by survey though it only flows very occasionally when the dam overflows.
It's possible Mt Damper is the highest single drop, Wairere Falls is a two-tier drop but I don't know the height of each, however unless both drops were exactly equal, one of them is likely to be higher than Mt Damper.
I'd propose 'highest' be amended to 'third highest' (or possibly 'highest single drop' if there's some evidence it exceeds each drop at Wairere).
