when I went up the railway ( a story in its self - what a glorious experience) there was the remains of the Pavillion on top. We were just given renments of its history = the famous bands, the dancing, picnics. I have no details except this is an important part of Mt. Beacon's history. Today I think the platform flooring was been removed for safety. I knew Glen Island Casino and Log Cabin Armonk, so I have some sense of what the Pavillion must have meant. Today Beacon is making its new history with the museum, and development work on the water front, with the involvement of Scenic Hudson. Beacon is coming back. May its history be preserved.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.10.138.105 (talk) 02:21, 21 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
