Motoblur → MOTOBLUR — This page is named in all lowercase, but the technology is trademarked in all uppercase [1]. Wikipedia does not allow this move by a non-administrator because "motoblur" and "MOTOBLUR" are equivalent in a case-insensitive world. —TedPavlic (talk/contrib/@) 21:31, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Shouldn't the move be to Motoblur with a capital M, per WP:ALLCAPS? 84.92.117.93 (talk) 22:19, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose and remove {{lowercase}}, per WP:MOSTM. Standard English formatting rules would have this as "Motoblur". 81.111.114.131 (talk) 23:36, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's fine. It should be moved from motoblur to Motoblur and a note should be added to the main page above the lead about the Wikipedia style conventions. —TedPavlic (talk/contrib/@) 16:10, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- There is no such move. The first letter of articles on the English Wikipedia is always capitalised. {{lowercase}} is a hack to make it look like it's lower-case. 81.111.114.131 (talk) 23:34, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

- Oppose. This is not an acronym, so conventional English style applies. --DAJF (talk) 01:41, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose As the above users say, MOSTM pretty much says we don't use odd capitalization just because the trademark owner does. TJ Spyke 01:59, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- But don't pages like LaTeX set a different precedent? —TedPavlic (talk/contrib/@) 16:14, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- That article should probably be moved, sometimes articles get away with stuff because not many people may see it. TJ Spyke 22:01, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose As per previous comments. All upper-case is a style choice.--Labattblueboy (talk) 12:30, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but at LEAST the first letter should be capitalized. At present, the article title is all lowercase. —TedPavlic (talk/contrib/@) 16:10, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Motorola CLIQ and DEXT
edit- I was wondering if there is any real need for the article to mention both Motorola CLIQ and Motorola DEXT as phones that use Motorblur when both are the same phone and lead to the same page. 98.114.189.8 (talk) 14:21, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
More than a mere skin
editIn this article, Motoblur is distinguished from being a mere skin; that is is a service as well due to its push technology. However, the {{Android}} template (placed at the bottom of the article as well) ignores this and places it within the UI category, right there with the skins anyway. "I'm just sayin'..." Someone more knowledgeable than me should deal with this, probably within the template and not the Motoblur article.--SidP (talk) 20:24, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
mypsace
editserious question. does this really have a myspace interoperable thing? and do they really market that, like 'check it out kids'! Tangy 303 Mamet Sauce (talk) 22:48, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
