editI removed the following content from this article when rewriting it; please find sources so we can reinsert it:
- The Muslim population of Ceuta and Melilla, the Spanish cities in North Africa, are either Moroccan citizens or descendants of Rif Berbers that established themselves in the cities during the period of the Spanish Morocco.
- Most of the Spanish Sephardi Jews arrived from Spanish Morocco as well.
- The Moroccans working abroad are making an important impact on Moroccan budget. In 2007, Six billion euros were transferred to Morocco from abroad, by the workers who wanted to support their families at home.
