Sales
editThis article claims the video has sold in excess of 30 million copies world-wide. Where was this information sourced from? I understand from various sources that Moonwalker outsold The Making Of Thriller, which would make it the best-selling music video of all-time.
Region 2 DVD
editIs the Region 2 DVD a HMV exclusive at the moment? As I bought the DVD from HMV about a year ago, but checking on amazon.co.uk it gives a release date of June 19, 2006. JP Godfrey (Talk to me) 09:31, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Moonwalkermj.jpg
editImage:Moonwalkermj.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Dance magic
editWould someone please verify the musical clips used in MJ's "Moonwalker" Arcade version when Dance Magic is activated? 15:36, 2 April 2008 (UTC) White Mage Cid
the moonwalk (dance)
edit"The name of the dance move was dubbed by the media, not by Jackson himself; however he did choose the title of the film himself."
The backsliding dance move called the moonwalk predates Jackson by quite a bit, see moonwalk, and I personally recall some popularity of the move in NYC dance clubs late70s/early 80s, though I can't document this. At any rate, the media did not name the dance move (and there is no citation to indicate that they did); it was known by this name before Jackson or the media ever picked up on it. 71.48.42.145 (talk) 22:41, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Nostalgia Critic
editI removed the part that mentions the Nostalgia Critic because he's not a reliable reviewer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.8.51.226 (talk) 11:48, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Success
editThe budget of the film was 60 million dollars, but what was the Gross revenue? Was it more than the budget? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.123.48.145 (talk) 22:16, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
