Good grief. This is at least a mid-importance topic. i just read some of the "mid" articles for a reality check, and i couldnt believe how many trivial articles are in that cat: minor politicians, sub-branches of obscure languages etc. This is a major river of central america, which has and does provide the only access to certain parts of interior of belize, besides a rich flora and fauna, a significant eco-tourism resource in belize and not to mention it feeds the second largest barrier reef in the world and is one of the only places to find the endangered manatee.
