Goldfrapp
editHey wheres the controller at?
"The inclusion of music from Goldfrapp during the first series pre-dated the commercial release of their debut album" - Felt Mountain, Goldfrapp's debut album, was released in 2000 - yet Monkey Dust started in 2003. So the album release did not pre-date the series. Or am I missing the point...? --jeffthejiff 19:16, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- It was made before the commercial release of the album - I think that needs rewriting to clear that up. violet/riga (t) 19:44, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC
No no, some of it was written around about that time. The show wasn't absolutely complete at the time.
"murderers, paedophiles and single parents"
editI can't decide whether that line is disturbing or funny - Richfife 19:49, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
- It's a pretty interesting idea, I think. Although we would all assume that murder and paedophilia are very bad things, both of them are fairly rare occurrences. Single-parenthood, however, affects millions. So which is more of a threat to our society; a couple of dozen murders per year, or thousands and thousands of children brought up inadequately by a single mother and with no male role model? --Corinthian 17:18, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think the assumption that single mother households automatically fail to adequetly raise there children is a bit of a stretch. I particularly dislike this moral line. bert 20:49, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

"Mr and Mrs Daily Mail"
editI've changed the title for this section, as the previous name isn't really appropriate. On two occasions the husband is seen reading The Independent, one time The Sun, and only once The Daily Mail. Their resigned reaction to the antics of "the kids from the flats" also doesn't fit the usual DM reader stereotype. Nick Cooper 15:46, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Series two - Movie Parodies
edit"They All Come home" - fairly sure this parody is in series three - episode six ??
Liar Clive
editSurely with the considerable resemblence liar Clive is in fact a parody of failed Tory leader William Hague, who is reminded of his failure whenever Blair is shown on television. Any thoughts? Gazz 00:53, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
he had great excuses "no clive that was the plot of the hundred years war, where were you really?" i believe he answered "filling a bath tub with cum"
Ivan Dobsky's theme
editI realize this isn't at all the appropriate place to ask, but does anyone know the name of the song that plays when Ivan hops out of prison on Mr. Hoppy? It's wordless "la da da da" stuff, very upbeat. Anyone? - 58.107.184.115 04:05, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's called 'Come' by Eddie Warner Vincethod 22:09, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Mark Thomas appearance in s3 ep4?
editThe hospital sketch towards the end of this episode appears to feature left wing comedian Mark Thomas, is he being impersonated or is he voicing his character? The article ought to mention this given that it goes into David Baddiel's appearance.Lindsay40k (talk) 11:39, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Three-season box set?
editThe article states that only season one was ever commercially released on DVD, and this Amazon search supports that. In contradiction, this seller claims to offer a three-season box set for sale; however, the only images shown are those from season one and a photograph of the season-one disc, expect for the keep case cover art, which could be deceptively altered. Is there any evidence that a three-season box set actually exists as a commercial release? Raifʻhār Doremítzwr (talk) 12:17, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
- It's clearly a bootleg. Nick Cooper (talk) 12:32, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
- Never going to get a (legal) boxset as there are too many problems in clearing the rights to the music for the later series. Pretty sure it is explained in the commentary of the Series 1 DVD. Even the series 1 DVD release needed lots of music changes making it different in many ways to the broadcast TV version. At the date of this comment there are lots of the later episodes appearing on YouTube. 86.10.167.123 (talk) 18:44, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
