Name Spelling

edit

There are discrepancies all over this article regarding the spelling of Mr. Hamdani's first name. The user Hamdanit (talk) claims that the name is spelled with an 'a', as in "Mohammad". However, the official text of the U.S. PATRIOT Act clearly spells his first name with an 'e', as in "Mohammed". I can't seem to find a better source than that official government document regarding his name, so I think we should be following whatever our best source tells us... in this case "Mohammed". Thoughts?  Amit  ►  14:02, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Just adding my two cents late in the game but his official name is spelled Mohammad, and the Patriot Act was simply a goof. As you can see his name was spelled with the 'a' on the memorial itself. Wikimandia (talk) 14:11, 13 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Why does he get an article?

edit

Why does this victim get an article written about him on Wikipedia while no other EMT does? Is the reason because he was Muslim as that seems to be the main focus of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.93.41.89 (talk) 21:51, 17 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Because Wikipedia articles are written by volunteers and no volunteer has picked up writing an article on other EMT (yet). Another aspect to be included on Wikipedia is notability: if there are no press reports on other EMT, then there can't be an article on other EMT. Nakonana (talk) 20:36, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
