editWith the coming of Ubuntu's Migration Assistant (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MigrationAssistance ), and with the term being very generic for "Helping a user move from one platform to another" (for example, Firefox's importing of Bookmarks from IE), perhaps this page should be moved to Migration_Assistant_(Apple) or something of the like? 70.35.227.160 12:21, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Copy or erase from old computer?
editDoes the migration assistant copy files or erase them from the old computer? What happens if one migrates the same data twice? If the data has changed in between?

- I've used it a few times. It copies the settings and files, but does not erase the old ones. Cuddy2977 (talk) 17:21, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
