editThis Article Should Also Include Imperial Units for Pole Vault Heights.
This is an English-language page, and the United States and Canada both still use them (in the U.S.A. more than in still-British-influenced Canada). That's a lot of people on the Internet. Let's be inclusive of both stripes, please.
Another argument in favor of including Imperial Units is that historically, Americans have set a large percentage of the Pole Vault world records (both indoors and outdoors), and the American public doesn't understand or care about Metric Units, including those who follow this sport (or most any sport). Our sports news coverage always gives the heights in Imperial Units unless it is an international competition, and even then also provides the Imperial Units (usually verbally on radio and television).
[We Americans already live with the predominantly British-English styles of spelling and punctuation here, and the inclusion of both of the types of units in pages is sporadic at best. I will usually see one article out of every two that didn't bother including both types of units, and when both are used, the great majority of the time it's the Imperial Units that are the ones in parentheses. Almost no articles use Imperial Units without also providing Metric Unit values.]
