edit- Corrected an apparent spelling error. The page referred to a "nautral dam" which I took to have meant "natural dam." The Wiktionary contains no word "nautral," ... I'd wondered whether there might be some esoteric term peculiar to discussion of ice-age moraine dams... but this does not seem to be the case. If I was wrong, please reverse my correction, with my apologies.
- Nope, I think you're right. Never seen the word 'nautral' in any of the geological reports (1891-2000)Chris LightChris Light (talk) 14:03, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

editTrying to find additional information, but I'm afraid that this article may never be more than a stub. I'm thinking of making an infobox (the one at the bottom of a page) to list all of the glacial period torrents. I thought they were rare until I started looking.Chris Light (talk) 14:02, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
Valid references or not?
editI deleted the Daniel Vaughn link from references because it was to an unpublished college thesis. Also tried to improve refs 1 & 2. David notMD (talk) 21:02, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
Still a Valid Hypothesis?
editA literature search turns up very little additional information on this hypothesis. Is it still widely held by geomorphologists, or has it been rendered obsolete? 129.62.56.207 (talk) 21:48, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
