editPotential conflict of interest: This is a translation of the Japanese Wikipedia article on the same topic, edited so that it pertains only to the first book (the only book available in English at this time). I translated the Math Girls novel into English and am a partner at the publisher, which likely poses a conflict of interest. Please edit anything that does not seem to maintain neutral POV, etc. Tonygonz (talk) 18:36, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- I think the article should talk about the whole series of books; not just the publicly-available-in-English books (which have since expanded to include the first three, at the time of writing). In fact, the whole article is somewhat outdated, given the fifth book "Math Girls: Galois Theory" was published in 2012; that four spinoff textbooks with the series name "Math Girls' Secret Notes"(?) have been published since 2013, and that there are now three manga series; one for each of the first three books. All of these changes are present in the Japanese version of this article; not so here. Edderiofer (talk) 22:58, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
Corrections
editActually, both Math Girls 2 and Math Girls 3 have been translated to English as of March 2017. I'm sure Tonygonz can confirm that. Secondly, there's this line in the article about Tetra: "She also thinks very highly of Miruka, and is also romantically attracted to her, what with her being bisexual" That's not good English and lacks a period as well. Besides, I think there are fewer hints on Tetra's orientation than Miruka's. Miruka at least calls Tetra cute and even blows a kiss on Tetra's cheek in Math Girls 2. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Narrycheni (talk • contribs) 15:48, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
