A signifigant number of foreign ceramic artists have taken up residency in Mashiko. Harvey Young has maintained his own studio since 1984. His website [1] provides insight into the workings of a small handmade pottery workshop in one of Japan's many pottery communities. --Mashikoboy 23:33, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
what concept to link to?
editThe sentence: "Mashiko is a folkware kiln site that is unlike some of the other older kiln sites around Japan." The notion o "folkware" is not covered by an article is Wikipedia. However folk art or especially the Japanese folk art covering Mingei notion are available. I wonder now, what of the notion, would be the most appropriate? I would tend to Mingei, because Mashiko is of course in Japan, but since the issue is not 100% clear I also post it here, before linking it in the article. Ai24 (talk) 23:32, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
