editMario's grandfather, Dr Georg Rosenstock, (1918-2002)practised as a medical doctor in Ireland from 1948-1973. A poet and novelist, he had been drafted into the medical corps of the German army in 1939 and met Mario's grandmother, a nurse, in German-occupied Jersey during the war. She herself was a best-selling author of the WW2 biography and love story, Hello Is It All Over?
