Living?
editThis article is very unclear to me. The word 'living' doesn't even occur in it; what is a 'living' in Christianity? Lennart97 (talk) 11:42, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- I see that a benefice is also called a living. Are the two related? Should this page maybe be merged into benefice? Lennart97 (talk) 12:09, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
A benefice is a church or group of churches in a specific area. Living is a historical term, it means who provides the money to pay the priest Bashereyre (talk) 13:18, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Bashereyre: Thanks, the page is a bit clearer now. But I think it still needs a clarification about how this living is related, or unrelated, to living as a synonym of benefice. Lennart97 (talk) 16:34, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
