Not "Washington Area"
editWe who live in the Washington area use the term to include metro Virginia and Maryland. I live in Maryland and this list does not include, for example, Clarice Smith at the Univ. of Md. in College Park, the Black Box theater on Colesville Rd in Silver Spring, the Black Box at Montgomery College in Takoma Park, the Strathmore in Rockville, or the Fitzgerald theater at Montgomery College in Rockville, although it does include the Olney Theater and others. There are similar omissions in Virginia. So the title is misleading. Conscientia (talk) 01:04, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
Proposed merge
editI propose that we merge List of theater and entertainment venues in Washington, D.C. into this article (List of theaters in Washington, D.C.). There appears to be some overlap already and it isn't immediately clear which articles should go to which list. --GentlemanGhost (séance) 08:31, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

- Merger complete. , rather simply; feel free to refine in situ. Klbrain (talk) 21:36, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
