Just my opinion
editI think for a 'company' to be listed here, they should be systematically (or at least have been in the past) releasing more than 1 podcast/publication. 'Joe's Beer Show' is not really a 'company' per se, if Joe just cranks out 1 episode per week (while burping a lot, of course). --Bddmagic (talk) 15:27, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- Agree. They should probably have their own Wikipedia article and be referenced by at least one third-party news source. Morganfitzp (talk) 03:32, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
- I've tried to do a little cleanup. In addition to adding a reference or two, I also added a {{citation needed}} template to all of the listed companies that don't currently have a page at wikipedia. —RP88 (talk) 15:48, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
- One question for the purpose of this page: What can this list-class article offer that the Category:Podcasting companies page can't? Should we do away with this article and just have the category page serve that function? Morganfitzp (talk) 20:41, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
- Strange as it might seem, one advantage that List of.. articles like List of podcasting companies can offer over their corresponding category pages (like Category:Podcasting companies) is the red links. List articles are a good way to show articles that should exist, but nobody has started yet. On the other hand, I don't know if this article has much to offer beyond that, so I wouldn't care that much if this article was deleted. —RP88 (talk) 21:05, 25 January 2017 (UTC)

- I also agree with this-- in which case, Sorted Food doesn't belong on the list either, eh? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.117.134.50 (talk) 00:11, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Slashed the list
editI have slashed the redlinks from this list. Similar to List of YouTubers, this is a pretty easy target for self-inserted promos and spammers. Therefore, I've added a note warning that all new additions should have an existing article (or some darn good references). I'll be keeping an eye out and periodically removing any new spam. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 03:15, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
Requested edit
editI would like to request the addition of Westwood One to this list. Westwood One has a large, vibrant podcast network and a great passion for the medium. Thank you! SuzySchultz (talk) 22:11, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
- Link to a third party source (like a news story about the podcasting company) and we'll be good to go. Morganfitzp (talk) 19:59, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
I would like to request teh addition of Astronomic Audio (Astronomicaudio.CA) to the list as producers of a number of podcasts and audio books globally with offices in the US and Spain
I would like to request the addition of Magic Studios to this list. They are producers of many successful podcasts in Australia. 11.07 GMT+8 Western Australia, 19/08/2021

The Indian and Cowboy Network
editPlease include the Indian and Cowboy network to the list. An article about the Indian and Cowboy network. https://www.makoonsmedia.org/indian-cowboy Another article. https://rabble.ca/news/2015/10/indian-and-cowboy-lays-foundation-indigenous-media-revolution Network website. https://www.indianandcowboy.com/listen — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lionjim (talk • contribs) 16:42, 27 November 2020 (UTC) I'm not sure if it is more correct for the name, Indian and Cowboy vs Indian & Cowboy
- Insufficient reliable sources - the Makoons Media site is not independent as it is the parent of the podcast network. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 23:09, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
