Divider-in-chief

edit

It seems many IPs are removing this term. Despite being sourced, does it satisfy WP:BLP and WP:CRITICISM? -- DaxServer (talk) 19:10, 22 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

To my knowledge, the title "Divider-in-Chief" was given by Time magazine. I'm not sure if it is an honorific title or a criticism, as the Narendra Modi administration has been heavily criticized for not protecting minority rights adequately.-25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 18:05, 27 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Feku

edit

Can someone help me with if Narendra Modi is known as Feku in India. Also, this nicknames are given by who and how far/frequently they are used in India. Same with Modiji. Thanks in advance.-25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 18:02, 27 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

"Maun Mohan"

edit

49.36.235.180 (talk · contribs) has tried to add the nickname "Maun Mohan" for Manmohan Singh based on sources like this. I have removed as I don't think this fits the list's criteria of nicknames that "that were or are in common usage.". Other's can certainly chime in. --ZimZalaBim talk 18:13, 1 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Might also be worth noting this IP has been trying to remove sourced nicknames critical to Modi for whatever reason. --ZimZalaBim talk 18:13, 1 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Was excited to see the various nicknames and was surprised to see a disrespectful name in the list of India's current pm and that too solely on the basis of some opposition leaders comments that does not make it a nickname. 49.36.235.180 (talk) 18:21, 1 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
after successive removal i just wanted to check if the person removing content is biased , will he also edit in favour of late former pm Manmohan Singh who was of different party 49.36.235.180 (talk) 18:24, 1 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Please understand the meaning of nicknames. They are not something given by political opposition parties to a sitting person in government. We have found similar term "Feku" for Narendra Modi and had to remove it Please avoid adding such content. Further similar edits will result in a permanent block. Thank you-25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 13:39, 2 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Nicknames

edit

Please be advised that a nickname is not something given by opposition parties or fellow party members. In the context of Indian politics, opposition parties often give negative nicknames to their political rivals as a strategy to undermine their credibility and appeal. For example, Narendra Modi has been called "Feku," and during the Emergency period, Indira Gandhi was referred to as "Dictator" by her critics. This does not mean we should keep adding random names given to them. Hope this helps!-25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 13:49, 2 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
