Remember the Mew!

edit

Trying to get back to the Mew Mew articles and at least try to get the character and chapter lists to possible FL status. Tonight I went through List of Tokyo Mew Mew chapters and fixed some sourcing issues and redid all of the existing summaries to try to get them below 400 words (succeeded except for the last two). Think those are concise enough or do you think they need to be shorter? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 06:06, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have scanned through the list quickly, some comments:
  • The Fair Use Rationale for the image states "To illustrate the appearance of the manga and the differences in artistic style between the various adaptations", but this is not the case.
  • I prefer that the summaries are about the same length—well done (near enough).
  • The summaries are still much longer than our other FL's—I do not know whether this will be a problem.
  • Comparing the list to List of Claymore chapters (That example has a very eye-pleasing look and feel), I notice the following:
    • Please add the Japanese text for the chapters (If possible).
    • Are the chapters numbered? (If so, add the numbers.)
    • Does the volumes have names or descriptions? (I believe not, but if they do, please add it.)
    • Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode chapter summaries are still required. (And it it not à la mode?)

Woops, FUR fixed. Not sure what to do with the summaries...there are no real clear guidelines for word counts on volumes like we have for episodes, which makes it hard to know if they are still too detailed. I tried to cut them down quite a bit, but TMM crams a lot into a short series. :) I'll see if I can find a list of the Japanese chapters somewhere to see if they had names/numbers. I'd presume they are, at the least, numbered, based on their original release, but don't know for sure. I think the names may be a TP thing, but will double check. Amazon lists some names for the volumes, but the books themselves don't support that claim. And nope, TP released it as Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode without the '. :) Will work on the a La Mode summaries tonight. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 17:43, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I see you have added the TP descriptions. Nice. I would rather we distinguish chapters from extra content, though, as it is not clear at the moment. From what I remember from old discussions, TP's version has a table of content, but the Japanese version does not.[1] Not sure about volume titles, nor chapter numbers though, as I did not ask. If you don't mind, may I move this discussion to Talk:List of Tokyo Mew Mew chapters? G.A.Stalk 05:54, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I think the chapter names may be purely a TP thing. And sure on the move. :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 06:02, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Back to the article:
I will add more items later.

Fixed the cover character and copied over the links. I disagree on the need to split the lead, though. It seems fine to me. Its longer than Claymore because there are two series covered, but I think splitting it any would detract from the list appearance and wouldn't really aid anything as those parts would still have to be in the lead to be a proper summary, which the lead already pretty much is :P -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 06:39, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I do not feel that all of the information in the lead is really important enough to be mentioned in the lead, but I am not going to argue about this, it is not that important.
About the summary lengths: Maybe User:Sephiroth BCR could clarify this; the alternative would be to nominate it for FL status, and to be prepared to fix it at a moment's notice, if necessary.

Took me longer to do than expected, but I've added the a La Mode summaries and attempted to tweak the lead some. Think its ready for a peer review? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 08:20, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Some minor cleanup is still needed (e.g. "This is a complete list of volumes and chapters" should no longer be used), but other than that, it is ready. There are some places in need of a copy edit as well (esp. a la mode). Regards, G.A.Stalk 14:03, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ah, true, forgot that FLC has taken over the lead requirements of lists and decided they didn't like that :P I'll work on that after round two of the four hour drive. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 14:52, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
