I removed this misplaced sentence from the bottom of the page, assuming that the editor who added it cannot back up his/her claims: "Ling Ling died in 2008 and Hsing Hsing has not Died!" If there is a credible source that indicates that there is controversy over this issue, then perhaps we can add a separate section for that that explains the controversy in detail. I also removed the "External Links" section because there was only entry in the list was a dead link.Superbatfish—Preceding undated comment added 20:23, 8 July 2009 (UTC).Reply

I added a little detail on Ling-Ling's death, and a link to a Washington Post article about it. Not sure about the formatting of my citation, so if someone wants to clean it up, please do so. Also, the article contains some info on both bears' history, if someone wants to go through it and see what else can be added/cited here. In general, the Washington Post archives would probably be a good source of info & references, since Ling-Ling & Hsing-Hsing were always big news in the DC area.
