Hi; could people who know more about this band and its albums please provide some citations and some evidence of notability? I came across this page by "Random Article" and was distress that it doesn't cite any sources or provide evidence of notability. Thanks a bunch, and I look forward to seeing the improved article! The lead singer is now in the band The Hold Steady, which has a well-documented page and is obviously notable.

I am currently working on improving this and other music related pages. While not a wildly popular band, Lifter Puller exhibits a significant following and exerts significant influence. Furthermore, they were a precurser to The Hold Steady, whose forthcoming album is recieving a significant amount of press in certain critical circles, and will doubtlessly produce interest in this subject. Speedy deletion is therefore inappropriate in this case. Grzond 16:53, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Why anyone would want to remove a page from Wikipedia just because they are ignorant to the subject matter is beyond me? Why anyone would want to search through random articles to question their existence is beyond me. If someone wants to know more about a band, then they can... If you are not interested in the band, don't read it. Now the Hold Steady are making it big, obvously more people will be checking out their origins. LFTR PLLR rock!

Fair use rationale for Image:Lifterpullerhalfdeadanddynamite.gif

edit

Image:Lifterpullerhalfdeadanddynamite.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
