Admiral Edney never served as Vice Chief of Naval Operations.
editThe statement that he did is based on a tribute to Edney entered into tho the Congressional Record by Senator john Warner of Virginia. On this one point the Senator was in error. A close reading of the career summary, probably submitted by ADM Edney, does not indicate he held that position.
I was a squadron mate of "Bud" Edney during the Vietnam war, and have followed his career closely. 98.198.127.240 (talk) 22:16, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
