Birthplace

edit

Alexikoua when writing this article wrote that this person was born in Jergucat, Albania without adding a source and when I asked a source for the person's ethnicity he added a source saying that his birthplace is unknown. I found his birthplace, which is modern Anatoli municipality, which had a similar name with the Albanian village, which probably led Alexikoua to make the or deduction.--— ZjarriRrethues — talk 22:26, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Apart from extreme wp:hounting, I would suggest you read the references before you make disruptive edits again. In general this is sourced by ref. 3 [[1]]. For future reference there is no place/village called Georgoutsates in the entire Ioannina +Thepsrotia prefecture (Anatoli mun. included). Perhaps Anatoli in this url is a place in Dropul region (municipality? I dont see this), its a very common name in the Greek speaking word (Anatoli means 'east' in general). You can also take a look on several official sites of the Dropull villages like this [[2]] to confirm this.Alexikoua (talk) 12:40, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

So Pandektis of the Institute of Modern Hellenic Studies is wrong and a blog post(it isn't an official page so don't make such attempts again) is right. Alexikoua it seems that your only contact with the region is through the internet because Anatoli is a municipality of Greece(in fact there's an article about it in the Greek wikipedia). Btw it seems that you don't even read the Greek official sources, because Georgoutsates is in modern Anatoli, it doesn't exist anymore and the first source doesn't say that that particular village was in Albania, unless you think that Γεωργουτσάτες της Ηπείρου means Jergucat in Albania. --— ZjarriRrethues — talk 13:58, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
blogs? I'm sorry but this [[3]] ana.gr is the 'Athens News Agency'. Well, suppose this was a mistake and you will revert yourself (I asume you owe a senciere apology by manipulating pandektis and claiming that this person was born in a non-existent village).Alexikoua (talk) 15:22, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Something irrelevant with the discussion: Anatoli municipality doesn't belong to Thesprotia Prefecture (guess you are twice wrong).Alexikoua (talk) 15:27, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pandektis: Georgoutsates, Thesprotia. Regardless of any of your or deductions(ana says in Epirus, which Thesprotia belongs too), it doesn't say Georgoutsates of another place.--— ZjarriRrethues — talk 16:08, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I can't find a "Georgoutsates" or "Anatoli" municipality on any map of Thesprotia, Google Earth included. The article on Thesprotia also makes it clear that there is no "Anatoli" municipality there. There is an "Anatoli" municipality in Ioannina prefecture, but there is no Georgoutsates. In fact, the only Georgoutsates I have been able to find is the one in Dropull, which of course Greek sources will refer to as "Γεωργουτσατες της Ηπείρου", because Greeks consider that region part of the wider region of Epirus. So it seems the only counter-argument is Pandektis, which in this instance appears to be simply wrong. Athenean (talk) 18:54, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
