Merge from AWAL and Kobalt Label Services

edit

AWAL is now a subsidiary of Kobalt Label Services, and KLS is just an operation in Kobalt Music Group. The AWAL and KLS articles are stubs; the KMG article, now that the advertising copy is removed, is a stub also. Each has a list of "Artists" presumably associated in some unspecified way with Kobalt. Nothing here that can't be merged into one article (probably with the same article authors anyway). --Closeapple (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 08:21, 16 May 2015‎

AWAL is still an independent brand outside of Kobalt's KLS offering, with history that pre-dates Kobalt's acquisition.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.4.99.115 (talk) 18:42, 14 July 2015‎ (UTC)Reply
Closeapple states incorrect information in their opening. AWAL is not a subsidiary of Kobalt Label Services. It also has history and operations completely separate to that of the parent company, as well as being based in a separate physical location. As for Kobalt Label Services and Kobalt Music Group being merged, this would be like merging the EMI article with that of Universal Music Group who now owns them. They may be owned by a single entity, but actual operations, artists signed to them, and people are very much separate. As such, I'd suggest this discussion be closed. --XPatchx (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 12:59, 19 August 2015‎
