Knapps Brook would appear to be part of Houghton Brook and would not appear to have any historical origins. In historical times (early 1800's) Houghton Brook extended to the River Lee and there were not any Napps or Knapps in the area. The association with Napps Nursuries appears to be unreliable as the Nursuries were only established in the early 1900's and Nappsbury Road in the 1950's. Further corroboration should be undertaken to verify the appropriatenes of using the name of Knapps Brook for this section of Houghton Brook. 1Holdstrong (talk) 21:53, 30 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Agreed - I think this is just another name for the Houghton Brook and in any case is not deserving of its own page. I can't find a Knapps (or Napps) Brook on recent OS maps or historic maps of the area. I will nominate this page for deletion. Russ (talk) 19:36, 22 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for confirmation of the logic and making the decision to remove the page. There is not any distinct catchment for "Knapps Brook" with its own source - the usual criteria for naming a watercourse. All the flow comes from the Houghton and Lewsey Brooks. Similarly, I have not found any confirmation from local social media groups and the water authority. Dont want to loose history but at the same time it shouldnt be corrupted. Removing the page seems the right way to go. 1Holdstrong (talk) 16:56, 23 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Just realised I should have just changed the page to a redirect to the Houghton Brook, so I've done so. Russ (talk) 09:03, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
