Complete Page Revision
editHello,
I have completely overhauled the Wikipedia Page related to Kazatomprom, the national atomic company of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The existing information was very dated and misleading (~2015), and the layout and content of the page was extremely limited. Of particular note, Kazatomprom is the first National Kazakh company to be partially privatized (November, 2018), with shares now listed on the London Stock Exchange. With the IPO, the company changed its strategic focus and significantly increased the level of transparency - as a result, major changes were required on the Kazatomprom Wikipedia page to reflect the company's new reality.
I've tried to use non-Kazatomprom references as much as possible, but because the increased transparency is a somewhat new phenomenon, there are still many references back to the Kazatomprom corporate website, as it's the primary (and only) source of information for several aspects of the company's history and business activities. In particular, the final sections on HSE and ESG are very limited - the company is only now in the process of applying for external ratings and validation of its programs and processes...
Conflict of interest: I am currently the Director of Investor and Public Relations at Kazatomprom, with 18 years of experience in the nuclear and uranium mining sector (geologist by trade) - working roles doing field work and exploration geology, mine development, investor relations, corporate strategy, insurance, and enterprise risk management. This creates an obvious bias, but I believe I kept the article factual and avoided being too promotional, other than to re-stating company plans and strategies that tie directly to notable information.
