NPOV Dispute
editThe article orignally stated after Neil Leslie's edit that "Karori Normal School is one of the largest primary schools in New Zealand.".
This was modified to claim "Karori West Normal School is one of the best primary schools in New Zealand".
I reverted, citing the NPOV, let alone the uncited source.
It has been subsequently reverted with the note "{don't change it}" included.
I move that the page is reverted to the revision by Neil Leslie on the 5th June 2005, unless any proof or citation is provided for the claim.

I removed the POV tag and the claim about KWNS. FWIW, I think that KWNS is a very good school, but that's just my opinion. OTOH KNS is a big primary by NZ standards. Best.

This is the modifier responsible for modifying your page. As you stated earlier "KWNS is a very good school" if you what you say is correct why not leave the statement I made as it is? How 'bout it Mr.Leslie?
Hi. Two quick points 1) its not my page, its everyones and 2) it makes life easier if you create an account for yourself. The assertion that KWNS is a good school is an opinion. Its one I happen to share, but it is just an opinion. Wikipedia works best if we avoid injecting opinions. If KWNS won an award then that is a good thing to record, because it is not a matter of opinion whether they won the award. It is not really a matter of opinon whether Karori Normal is a big primary school by NZ standards. Changing "KNS is big" into "KWNS is good", as someone did, is not really very helpful. Fine. But where's Keir? He went to KWNS
He goes to Wgtn High. Currently he's in Italy: but I'm not sure that Wikipedia needs to know that :-)Neil Leslie 07:15, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Karori Cemetery
editI deleted the claim of Karori Cemetery being the second oldest in NZ as this had been marked as dubiuos and I couldn't find any evidence of this apart from the cited newspaper article, so perhaps the reporter got confused. The crematorium is the oldest in Australasia I believe and this is in the cemetery's wikipedia article. Pakoire (talk) 00:47, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- If it is correct that Karori Cemetery "opened in 1891", then it is obviously not the country's second oldest cemetery. The country got going just a tad earlier than that... Schwede66 00:53, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- Also there are several older ones in Wellington - Mount Street and Bolton Street's to name but two.NealeFamily (talk) 08:37, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
