1922 and 1931 data
editI find this place on Barron, 1923, p. 26 and Mills, 1932, p. 64 ....however, those are both in Nablus District? And in 1945, it was in the Tulkarm district?? Explanations? Huldra (talk) 22:43, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Here's a little something from the Palestine Gazette #1421 (Supplement 2) of June 28, 1945:
- The following village units shall be transferred from the Nablus Sub-District of the Samaria District to the Tulkarm Sub-District of the Samaria District,... :— Kafr Barâ, Kafr Qâsim, Kafr Thulth, Khirbat Khureish.

- Ok, I´ll do the Mandate data for these places, then, so it woun´t confuse others. I assume Khirbat Khureish is the red-linked Khureish in Tulkarm Governorate? Huldra (talk) 20:07, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
- No, it was west of the green line, 2km SE of Jaljulia, exactly where Horshim is now (147/172). The 1945 stats show no population then, but Morris (Birth Revisited, p533) calls it a populated place in 1948. The thesis of Seth Frantzman says "Another interesting settlement, Kh. Khreish (Khureish) was southwest of Kh. Ras Atiya and was slightly larger in appearance, as if it was a decent sized hamlet. It appears on the Index of Settlements in the Nablus sub-district but does not appear on the censuses and in 1945 is listed with no population. There is no explanation why and it appears quite clearly to be a small village or hamlet. Aerial photographs from 1944 show it to be about the same size (15 houses) as Kafr Bara which it was just a kilometer north of. Grossman and Safrai list it as an early off-shoot of Kafr Thulth. Based on interviews with Haj Mustafa Hatib, a villager, they conclude that it was founded after 1880 by peasants, one of whom amassed 40 hectares at the site." The reference to Grossman and Safrai is to this article, which will be in your mailbox shortly. Zerotalk 01:13, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

Move to Kfar Qasem
editSince the official name of the village is Kfar Qasem (https://kfar-qasem.muni.il/), would anyone oppose moving Kfar Qasim to Kfar Qasem? Dan Palraz (talk) 18:16, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
