Superhero TV pilots in the "See also" section
editDoes anyone think we should use the "see also" section, exclusively for SuperHero TV pilots? I think we should, as the lines will get blurred, and before we know it every TV superhero show will be eligible for the section. Ryan4314 15:41, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
adding to that, I meant TV pilots that weren't successful. Ryan4314 15:49, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Mars Temperature
editI must admit, I did not know why Mars was colder thsan Earth, just assumed it was the distance from the solar system's heat source. Ryan4314 13:03, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Rumors?
editThe uncited rumor in the first paragraph says the pilot wasn't picked up because it lacked the Big Three heroes. Two points:
- 1) How about, the film failed to sell because it was cheap, shoddy and looked like they were wearing Halloween costumes?
- 2) Does that bit of speculation really belong in the opening paragraph? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Noclevername (talk • contribs) 09:28, 2 April 2007 (UTC).
I thought it better to drop the whole bit about why the pilot wasn't successful, at least until someone can source it. Ryan4314 12:16, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Upgrade to start class
editI've added the 2 extra sections we needed to get upgraded to start class. Just need to do the fair use rationales now. Ryan4314 01:37, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Removing the trivia section
editThe trivia section is wholly comprised of information that is either not relevant to the article or is coincidental. I'm removing the section. Gh5046 20:47, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
"Whilst"? HERE?? Is nothing sacred?!?
editWhat was it that old Superfriends announcer used to say . . . ?
Was it . . . "Meanwhilst, at the Hall of Justice"??
No, I don't think it was, was it?
Is this not the Justice League of America, in fact?
Actually, "whilst" doesn't belong in the text of any Wikipedia article, whether the subject is American or not. Go get a job writing for a major British newspaper, like the Guardian or whatnot, and THEY will insist you use "while" as well. Only if "whilst" is part of a quote, or a title, or something like that, should it be used. If the words are coming out of YOUR head, use "while", please. Thank you.
(My main objection to "whilst", personally, is that it seems to be addictive. Those who use it, tend to use it over and over and over again, whereas many Wikipedia articles do not use the corresponding "while" at all. I don't trust a writer who can't stay away from his favorite word. I tend to think it's a 16-year-old suburban American Anglophile. Only rarely do I encounter a Brit who seems to be using the word unconsciously and naturally. And THOSE tend to be sloppy writers in the FIRST place.)
