This paper deals with a sensor less power tracking control of a variable-speed wind turbine based on torque observer. The tracking control scheme is based on a simple sliding mode controller along with aerodynamic torque observer. The aerodynamic torque is estimated based on generator angular displacement, estimated angular speed, and field currents of the permanent magnet synchronous generator. This combined proposed control scheme observer error and tracking error convergence is proved analytically based on Lyapunov’s direct method. The effectiveness in terms of optimal power extraction and robustness of the proposed scheme is demonstrated numerically through computer simulations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.116.113.146 (talk) 07:43, 28 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
