Mistake?
editThis line, although referenced, can't be right: The next day Ingraham and the Hope set sail with the Spanish vessel Princesa that was sailing north to Nootka to deliver Spain’s new administrator to that outpost. The "administor" of Nootka in 1792 was Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra, but he sailed from San Blas directly to Nootka on the Activa. Salvador Fidalgo was in command of the Princesa at Neah Bay. Bodega y Quadra arrived at Nootka before Fidalgo. I will try to check the reference and/or try to amend the statement with other sources. Pfly (talk) 06:04, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
- Nevermind. Fidalgo took over as commandant at Nootka after Bodega left. He sailed from Neah Bay to Nootka to do so, in the Princesa. My mistake. Pfly (talk) 18:39, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
