Omission: No Mention of Bob Dylan Song
editThere is no mention of the Bob Dylan Song, "John Wesley Hardin" from his 1967 album of the same name. This important cultural reference should be inserted into the section marked "Legacy."
Entry on the song itself: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/John_Wesley_Harding_(song) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ptbates1 (talk • contribs) 16:56, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- How could we have missed the Dylan song? I've added it, and improved the other musical mentions, at the article. Dhtwiki (talk) 22:14, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
- The Dylan song is spelled "John Wesley Harding" with a "g". The recording company made an error and didn't notice before most of the 1st run of the record was already printed, so they decided to let it stand. 62.107.173.13 (talk) 10:46, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
The picture of "Hardin" is actually not.
editThe picture you have on Wikipedia is that of an acquaintance of John Wesley Hardin named Jack Helm. I have a true picture of Hardin if you want me to upload it. 62.107.173.13 (talk) 10:44, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, please do, then post here. GenQuest "scribble" 07:08, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- I can’t seem to upload to that site, but you can dl it from this site (among others)

- have a good day. 62.107.173.13 (talk) 20:52, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks! I looked at it. What is the source of that picture? Where can a published copy be found? This is needed for copyright purposes. BTW, Sheriff Jack Helm (who Hardin helped kill along with J. Taylor during the feud) was not a relative of Hardin's as far as I know. Where did that information originate? My wife is a first cousin of his, and I have much proven genealogical data on their extended family. Always looking for more for the article. :) Regards, GenQuest "scribble" 04:11, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
- Did I say that Helm was a relative of Hardin’s? I think not. He was an enemy, though. 62.107.173.13 (talk) 23:27, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
