editAt the time of John Quitman's death, there indeed were some who believed his death resulted from deliberately poisoning. I noticed that my edit concerning this was unceremoniously deleted (perhaps by members of the vast Masonic conspiracy to cover up the circumstances of his death?). Joking aside, I am working on finding sources that indicating the controversy over his death. I believe it adds an interesting dimension to Quitman and should be included in his biography.
National Historic Landmark PDF of Monmouth Plantation with relavent information
editI've been working on editing Monmouth Plantation recently, and I've noticed that there's a lot of information in this PDF about Quitman.. I didn't really check to see if the information was in this article, but the pdf isn't listed as a source, so I thought I'd let anyone who was watching this page know about it.
