'Took Part'

edit

I replaced the phrase 'took part' with 'was included' in the coronation. 'Took part' implies intent, IMHO. Seeing as he was two years old, he had no say one way or the other. Ttenchantr 20:07, 20 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability, Relevance?

edit

I'm not sure there's any value in having the son of the "Cannibal Emperor" with his own page. Does anyone know if he even makes the claim that he is Emperor, or has anyone even advanced the claim on his behalf? I think it would be much better to simply merge this into the main Jean-Bedel Bokassa article, with the statement that his son would be Emperor today had the Central African Empire continued. Also, this site: http://genealogia.netopia.pt/2875/pessoas.php?id=1050246 has his birthday listed as 2 November 1973, not 1975 as listed. Which is correct? Jsc1973 (talk) 09:05, 4 February 2008 (UTC) "Cannibal Emperor"? Firtly, he was cleared of the charge of cannibalism and secondly...that sounds a tad racist. 86.132.23.179 (talk) 10:40, 25 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, way to go. Hide behind an IP number and accuse someone of racism for a legitimate query that you don't happen to agree with. Whether you believe he was a cannibal or not, the elder Bokassa was an emperor for less than three years. (During which time his legitimacy was often questioned.) His son was a child at the time and had no notability prior to his father's coronation and has had none since. He's already mentioned in the "House of Bokassa" article. I really don't see the need for his having a separate article. Jsc1973 (talk) 07:45, 28 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

It is hard to imagine anyone taking his father seriously as "emperor" or his son as "heir" to a throne. 21:49, 13 September 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.189.223.191 (talk)
