editChanges needed prior to review:
- All the requisite WikiLinks within this text need to be included with the request. (Many of these are already active in the current article, but need to be carried over into the requested text )
- Any text (and references) that is in the article now and that is to be replaced (with new text and references) also needs to be included with the request. You can use the
{{Textdiff}}
template to indicate which newer text is to be swapped with original text. - Information sourced by IMDb needs to be deleted, as that source is not acceptable.
- Attestations towards the subject's moral character (e.g.,
"as a leader, she continues to be an advocate and strive for the advancement of women and people of color in the entertainment industry"
), while aspirational, must be omitted from the proposed text. - Almost all of the references in the request are missing the
|title=
parameter, triggering several cite error messages. These need to be corrected. - All instances where the subject's first name is used need to be deleted and replaced with the subject's last name.
- Certain claims need to be clarified:
Soon after, Janine created the highly acclaimed OWN series The Kings of Napa
(i.e., what is meant by "created"). - Please note that every sentence will be scrutinized to ensure that the references provided verify the text in the request. Any information in the proposed text which is not verified by the provided references should be omitted.
- Feel free to submit a new edit request below this reply post with the needed information added and the unneeded information removed at your earliest convenience.

- Hi! Just following up on this - thanks so much! Jsbarroisasst (talk) 19:02, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
- Jsbarroisasst, you were given very clear notes by Spintendo and most of these have not been followed up on. The text you have proposed will not be added to the article because it still reads as promotional. You need to get rid of all adjectives like "award winning", "hit", "famed" etc - these are the kinds of things a person says about themselves in a resume but have no place in an encyclopedia. You also need to provide reliable sources for all claims, which you have not done for a number, including but not limited to the Butte Film Festival award or the WGA programs. And you have not replaced "Janine" with her surname which is the accepted style for biographies here. Please make all these changes and submit a new edit request below as previously requested. - Thank you for your efforts in making these changes, it's much appreciated. There is some difficulty I see you're having with one of the templates,
{{TextDiff}}
. That template actually carries two numbered parameters that need to be filled out. Those numbers|1=
and|2=
allow you to place the two different versions side by side here on the talk page. The formatting should look exactly like this. Make sure you add only the text you see below in red font (but with your own text placed under parameters 1 and 2 for the text to be replaced and the text that is the replacement, respectively.)
- {{TextDiff|1=This is the verbatim text that should be removed from the article.|2= This is the verbatim text that should be added to the article.}}
- That formatting will render on the page like this:
− | This is the verbatim text that should be | + | This is the verbatim text that should be added to the article. |
- If you could go back into your request and correct the instances where the template is used, that would be a big help . Thank you! Regards, Spintendo 22:47, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

- Jsbarroisasst you continue to seek to insert non-neutral and promotional wording into the article, which is not ok. We are not going to add the word "award winning" to the opening sentence - it is meaningless puffery. Specific notable awards can be detailed (and properly referenced) within the article. Nor are we going to say things like "now have a multi year deal", "and more", "shows such as", "rising from" etc etc. This is all the kind of marketing language someone uses to talk about themselves, but not how a neutral encyclopedia article should be written. If there are specific inaccuracies about dates or roles please point them out, but continuing to propose the exact same kind of wording it not going to get anywhere. - I think the current article should be changed to accurately reflect Janine Sherman Barrois' career and accurate dates of the founding of her company:

- Clarification needed This request is difficult to process because it is not known what is to be changed here. There is a mixture of text placed using the
{{TextDiff}}
template along with text placed normally, sprinkled in between the text diff templates. This causes the reviewer to wonder: If this "normally" placed text is to be added to the article, why is it not placed in the textdiff under the|2=
parameter? There is also text placed normally at the end of the request which does not appear in any of the textdiff templates. I apologize, but this is quite confusing. Please advise. Thank you! Regards, Spintendo 21:48, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
