Move article to "Adjustable jam hitch"?
editThe original name for this article appears to come from a web source. This knot/hitch is covered several times in ABOK and is called either a "Jam hitch" or "Adjustable jam hitch". The name "Jamming hitch" is used for a different knot (#1991). Given this knot's relation to the taut-line hitch and the fact the name is only used for this knot, I propose this article be moved to Adjustable jam hitch. Any objections and/or other proposals? --Dfred (talk) 00:44, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
Wrong illustration
editI think that the picture illustrating this knot isn't right (the description is). The round turn should be made on the outside of the loop first then finished by a half hitch inside. Presently it looks like there is a single turn inside, finished by two half hitches outside... 182.232.59.1 (talk) 07:00, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- This comment is correct. I will update this comment with links to photos from the Ashley Book of Knots to verify. Mkokidko (talk) 12:27, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
