James Shields is #33 for the San Diego Padres, and is no longer a free agent. Geez, don't you watch the news?

All the news I see attributes this signing to unnamed "sources" and does not indicate the signing is official. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:43, 9 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Nickname

edit

There is no source given in this article that Shields' nickname was ever "Big Game James." It is also a fact, not an opinion, that he had a lifetime 5.46 ERA in the postseason - not a big game pitcher. Ryanisbetter (talk) 00:05, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

There are a ton of reliable sources that include his nickname (here are three: [1][2][3]) and the issue of it not being in our article is easily remedied. Pointing out that the nickname doesn't match is postseason ERA is WP:OR. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:01, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
