Recent corrections in the literature should probably be accompanied by a cite. For instance, my 75th Edition of the CRC gives (63)Cu's atomic weight as 62.939 which is in apparent contradiction to the 85th Edition of the CRC's value. Which is correct? A cite of the published paper correcting the value would seem to be in order here. Jim Bowery (talk) 19:24, 21 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

The CRC HBCP Table of the Isotopes page 11-46 mass value for Cu-63 = 62.939598 is a typo. Compare with the value on page 1-10 of 62.9295989(16). Besides the typo you can see that Dr. Holden truncated the mass instead of rounding it for 62.929599 with an unlisted uncertainty of (2) in the last digit. This value is from the 1983 Atomic Mass Evaluation as published in 1985. The values in the 85th edition are from the 1995 AME. For Cu-63 this is 62.9296011(15). The change is under 1-theta. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darian2 (talkcontribs) 02:57, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
