Toilet Etiquette
editInitially, the section was compiled by a user in the Toilet article but was removed because it was deemed to have no immediate relevance to the general topic. The source for the original edit is here [1]. The sources are legitimate and I have not found any inaccuracies in the section. Cioxx 22:44, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- Note that https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20191004-the-peculiar-bathroom-habits-of-westerners says: “Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs did however issue a fatwa in 2015 specifying that Muslims can use toilet paper if water isn’t available.” Good general article: https://toiletology.com/resources/history/history-of-toilets-in-ancient-egypt/called March 30, 2020 — Fritz Jörn (talk) 11:11, 30 March 2020 (UTC)

editusing an odd number of stones to clean the anal orifice after defecation ???--222.64.27.227 (talk) 22:42, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- For the obvious reason--because otherwise you'd have an even number. You wouldn't want to be turned into a homosexual, would you? Dawud (talk) 01:41, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
I think Dawud is obviously a troll and this comment isn't helpful at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.245.54.35 (talk) 22:56, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
Merge from Islamic toilet etiquette
editThe summary in this article of Islamic toilet etiquette is about as long as the sub-article. Would anyone object to a merge? --Explodicle (T/C) 17:14, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose merge You tried this before already. People were against it then. Also the last AFD ended in Keep. You have not made any valid reasons to merge it. And there is a notable size difference. Dream Focus 22:18, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- Consensus can change. Regarding size, the article to be merged is only about 100ish words longer than its summary in the main article. --Explodicle (T/C) 12:43, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Note: I've added this to Wikipedia:Proposed mergers so we can get a few more opinions. --Explodicle (T/C) 12:43, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose merge per Dream Focus. --nsaum75¡שיחת! 07:16, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
Islamic Bath or Ḥammān shouldn't redirect to this article
editThe bath house is a piece of architecture with certain designs, a history and tradition along with notable examples. It deserves it's own article. See [2] There are even notable historic examples like in the Alhambra[3], the Citadel of Aleppo [4] and the Haseki Hürrem Sultan Hamamı in Istanbul. It looks like the article Turkish Bath is taking the place of the Ḥammān article. 24.241.69.99 (talk) 07:11, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
