The pdf on the sidebar does not match the pdf in the article. The cdf in the side-bar also does not match the one on this page. It's not obvious whether the functions in the sidebar are wrong or if they are alternate forms. This page corroborates the expressions in the sidebar, so I'm guessing the latter. This distribution is esoteric enough that there's aren't many online references for it -- this needs cleared up in the article. Fyedernoggersnodden (talk) 23:01, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- The sidebar pdf formula is (26.48) on page 296 of Johnson--Kotz--Balakrishnan. The sidebar cdf formula is the integral of the pdf; one does have to be careful when doing the integral because of the strange dependence on x in the upper limit. I do not know where that cdf appears in print. 2607:F720:1901:1701:100:108:65:145 (talk) 09:23, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Are the Special case equations for n=3 and n=5 correct? I believe it should be 1/2(3-x)^2 and 1/24(5-x)^4 instead of 1/2(x-3)^2 and 1/24(x-5)^4. --JuliettPapaGolf (talk) 14:45, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
