Systemic Bias - this is a telecoms company that uses sources that are not self-published by technicality, but from within a direct line of serial corporations, and that works against specific groups of people. For example, their FierceTelecomm citations for awards & for factual information is a branding service offered by a parent corporation Questex, that is itself a telecoms company, but is also a Subsidiary of MidOcean, a New York based alternative asset manager focused on middle market equity & alt credit. Namely, it's a conflict of interest that's so large, it is Systemic Bias. The Parent Corporation that deals in credit default swaps that owns a telecoms company that offers a "Fierce" Service line, including an Annual Award that is itself a company Quintex owns known as FierceTelecomms, a company that reports industry news. Inteliquent, operating independently (although..?), as a telecoms company that provides services related to anonymous phone numbers Nationwide, used principally to collect debt...aka, credit defaults that are swapped so as to manage risk by a company like...MidOcean.
That in itself is problematic; but they have carefully positioned these "awards" next to recognized awards so it reads as though it is an affiliated "award."
The page has numerous dead links, desperately assembled together through internet archive. Many links that are out of Chicago, 1 location across the Nation, with approximately 40+ locations, all collecting debt. As to why Chicago, is it their headquarters? Probably...(?) That doesn't really matter. They don't take much care to present their source material out of Chicago to present themselves and their community in the best possible light. The links are all dead. And as far as who was impacted the most during the crisis of 2008-2009 — Midwesterners, People in debt in Chicago. I imagine South Chicago was hit particularly hard, where alternative credit and defaults were normalized. This is Systemic Bias as it sits; if Inteliquent is directly connected to MidOcean, I would call it a form of fraud. I cannot find that connection; therefore, it is definitively Systemic & it is definitively Biased. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Omikron.777 (talk • contribs) 00:39, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Inteliquent employee edits
editI feel like this page is kind of a self-promotional mess and was poking at the history. Just want to call out these edits: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Special:Contributions/206.147.190.211 -- beyond the IP space being owned by Inteliquent, the edit messages reveal that they're by someone at Inteliquent (referring to the company timeline as "our history," and even referring to another editor as an "unauthorized author"!). They're old enough that it would be a mess to try to revert, but I think it underscores the "written like an advertisement" issue flagged in the heading.
I'm going to take a stab at removing some unsourced and seemingly non-notable history. Fogster (talk) 11:10, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
