August 1995 probably not date of first shots fired by IFOR
editI think that the date (Aug 1995) that IFOR fired its first shots is obviously wrong - this applies to UNPROFOR and not IFOR (mission commenced Dec 1995).
Per two recent changes at history of the page "IFOR", should we make IFOR a disambiguation page? I had a look at Special:Whatlinkshere/IFOR, and none of them seemed to refer to the other meaning, the one that is now in the hatnote, so I reverted it, but I'm still opening the discussion since it could still be somewhat ambiguous. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 11:20, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
- Don't think DAB is needed at this point, though creating IFOR (disambiguation) might be a good idea. But I am not yet convinced that the IFOR article will ever survive. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 11:10, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
- The current solution - mutual hatnotes from/to Implementation_Force_(IFOR) and International Fellowship of Reconciliation; plus a redirect from IFOR to Implementation_Force_(IFOR) - seems fine, for now. In general, I think that in the least doubt about the primary topic we better use the acronym's page has a disambiguation (less harm in a occassional extra click than in not finding a page as easily), so maiking it a DAB page wouldn't hur either. - Nabla (talk) 01:18, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
- Leave as it is - Based off of WP:TWODABS, and the fact that this article seems to be the primary topic, it seems that leaving it the way it is, with the hatnotes between the two articles, would be sufficient; there doesn't seem to really be any need for a DAB page. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 02:33, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- Leave as is Per above. A DAB would be a waste of space at this point. The existing hatnotes seem sufficient to me. 71.195.156.105 (talk) 00:51, 3 December 2011 (UTC) Whoops, that was me. (Also re-factored a small typo. Quinn ✩ STARRY NIGHT 01:00, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Accountability
editOpening sentence of Background section begins:
- "NATO was accountable for carrying out the Dayton Peace Accords."
For this sentence to convey meaning there must be a body to whom NATO was accountable, but such a body is not mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.130.97.25 (talk) 06:26, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- It would have been the UN. I've added a link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.173.52 (talk) 09:13, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
