Title

edit

Is the current title an established name in quality sources? It reads slightly Eurocentric...--Asqueladd (talk) 08:07, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Asqueladd If you're referring to Iberian, the subpopulation of 39 or so orcas that migrates from the Strait of Gibraltar up along the coast of Portugal and Spain is known as the 'Iberian orca' population. I was reluctant to use the term "attacks" though. While most sources use that term, it may misrepresent the behavior. I think a title without attacks would be better, but "interactions" and "incidents" both seem vague/understated. I'm open to suggestions. gobonobo + c 01:40, 30 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

If stopping the engine halts the attack, then maybe that is what is causing it?

edit

Very possible that there is an acoustic vibration resonating between the engine and the hull transmitted thru the water via the rudder? Portuguese solution is simply to add more acoustic pollution to the sea. Even something simple as isolation pads between hull and engine mount could help, have marinas stopped using them there? Or, even a slight change in recent engine design could be involved. 2A00:23C7:CA0C:4F01:C05E:4D8C:30FD:BED4 (talk) 13:53, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
