Notability

edit

@Ss112: I appreciate you're trying to apply notability standards, but a simple Google search shows the album is notable and released by a notable group. The album has also charted, which you know because you've updated Blue October discography. I'm not being "a drama queen" by removing the redirect. Please stop reverting so the community to make improvements, thanks. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:06, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Another Believer: I said you were being a drama queen because you said "Stop!" when I didn't revert you, I tagged you and removed the unnecessary commented-out WikiProject banner from the infobox to write an edit summary. "Stop reverting so the community can make improvements" is not a reason to keep an article because it needs to show notability when you create or restore it, not "somebody else will do it after I make it". I know that's your personal theory because you create plenty of stubs with one reference and then expect other editors to build upon them when by all rights they should not exist if there's not sufficient coverage on them, but I don't think I need to tell you that's not the way Wikipedia operates—we have WP:NALBUMS and other notability requirements for a reason. Also, you need to start following WP:BRD. If you are reverted, "let the community expand upon it" is not a valid reason to keep reverting (you should be following BRD to begin with), nor is "Restore." a valid reason, which is your erstwhile favourite edit summary in these situations. Also, notability is not inherited just because a group is notable. Our notability guidelines state that quite clearly. Also, I hope you know that the image you added to the article is too large and is in an undesirable file format (Wikipedia prefers 300×300 pixel images, and in .png, not compressed .jpgs). If you don't do it yourself, eventually RonBot will delete your version and resize it. Ss112 22:33, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
I let the bots do the resizing for me, thanks. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:37, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
