DAH should know better, whatever award won by DAH's hyperledger has absolutely nothing to do with LF's hyperledger project

If DAH continue to edit this page with their own marketing material, I will raise the issue to LF's hylperledger committee and take action — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.33.205.142 (talkcontribs)

See my comment below.
Also please look at what you're doing here for a moment: you are emotionally asserting your position without any response about the questions it raises. Please calm down first, nobody is attacking you, or HL, or anyone else; this is Wikipedia, an encyclopedia, not a Hall of Fame.
Let me point out that you seem to be so emotional that you even believe that the edits were created by DAH. I am not sure whether it's due to your infamiliarity with Wikipedia or due to ignoring the fact that the person who have made the edits is a registered editor, with name, contact and a quite lengthy edit history, and with basic tools it could be seen that I have absolutely nothing to do with DAH, or HL (apart from being a happy bystander).
You have imagined an enemy and you already prepared for the battle ("raise the issue to LF's hylperledger committee"). You will be pretty alone in this battle: no enemy around. You cannot even "scare" me with the committe since I'm not involved.

Really? from I what I observed DAH is pretty alone in this battle. AND DAH has agreed to stop using HL name for its own marketing purpose, this has been discussed and agreed in the first LF meeting

and by the way, if you want to list HL candidate project, you also need to list OBC proposal from IBM, and that from Blockstream — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.42.208.184 (talk) 18:02, 17 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

However I advise you to get informed before you reply, it seems to me that you are not up to the last facts. I just happened to read the latest draft of HL's self-definition and it clearly includes a whole section about DAH (proposed) contribution, apart from the sources I have already quoted in the section below.
I would appreciare if you would calmly reply with the sources proving your statements, and I am more than happy to hear the opinion of the "LF's hylperledger committee", whoever they might be.

I would appreciate if you reply with fact, please go visit LF's hyperledger github repository or attend of the LF's HL meetings to understand the facts if you don't trust internet

Also please stop reverting my changes since it could result your address to be banned from editing Wikipedia, and it would be a mutual loss, right? --grin 16:29, 16 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

please stop reverting the fact. If you are not happy for whatever reason, raise this issue to the next LF meeting (3/14 Brooklyn, NY)

Hello,

You have removed references to DAH's hyperledger. However the source tell me, quote: "Digital Asset is contributing the Hyperledger mark, which will be used as the project name, as well as enterprise grade code and developer resources." [1] What have you based your removal on? Would you care to quote your source, or to explain why the official one is wrong about their own project please?

Moreover SWIFT ISC prize isn't about DAH, it's about the community project. Would you like it to be rephrased? --grin 11:06, 10 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

fact check

Dear anon, as other facts are pouring in ("Blythe Masters, CEO of Digital Asset Holdings, was elected as the Chair of the Governing Board"), are you still stick to your sourceless statements? If yes, I would kindly request again specific URL-s to support your statements. I have linked the very github page you were referencing, except that it states just the opposite as you do. And no, I will not do primary research on the topic, this is Wikipedia, not a place for primary research; please stick to the already established sources, and do quote them specifically. And please, again, stop reverting without referencing your sources. Thank you. --grin 10:05, 12 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi grin :) I added a link to the incubator proposal highlighting how DAH and IBM merged codebases to produce Fabric (still in early development, v0.5, but stable enough to cite).
I don't see any sources describing the origin of the name, if someone can find one for the initial DAH Hyperledger work that would be helpful. There are still rather few projects so far that describe themselves as related to distributed ledgers (which to be fair could be implemented w/o a blockchain), rather than blockchain. – SJ + 19:45, 23 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, @Sj: I know nearly nothing about DAH (contrary to what our anon friend believes), all the sources I have linked either in the article or here. The infos were mostly referenced from Mozilla and HL press releases. I know no further infos. --grin 19:38, 27 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Do I care?

edit

Hyperledger is an umbrella project of open source blockchains and related tools, started in December 2015 by the Linux Foundation, to support the collaborative development of blockchain-based distributed ledgers.

I'm sitting here tentatively trying to decide if I give a warm bolus.

"... support the collaborative development of X ..." means WFT, exactly?

Probably I'm scarred for life by thousands of worthless sales brochures, but couldn't we somehow do better in the lead here, so I don't have to tilt sideways in my chair suppressing a lifetime's worth of horror stories concerning warm, effluvient e-boli in order to continue reading on to the next paragraph? — MaxEnt 18:54, 31 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Bank of Lithuania - LBChain

edit

It's 2020 now, and I have stumbled upon this, which says: "The platform is based on both Hyperledger Fabric and Corda, and was developed by IBM Polska Sp. z.o.o and TietoEVRY." That seems to be a real-life e-banking use, so maybe a Used in projects section is due now. --grin 13:58, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hyperledger Iroha

edit

Why does the content from Hyperledger Iroha keep on getting removed? I can see that there has been an attempt by someone at soramitsu to include the company within the cryptocurrency section of Wikipedia, but the information on Iroha and soramitsu were there even before. If you look into HL website, both the company and Iroha are mentioned within Hyperledger Foundation's documentation. Please cease the arbitrary censorship or edit the entry in a tone deemed appropriate by Wikipedia standards. Metaxolotl (talk) 14:21, 17 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

You also added new mention of Soramitsu. Can you please outline how you are associated with Soramitsu? Apparently the admitted paid editor has been emailing people and asking them to edit this page as their proxy. Did you receive any communications about this page? Are you employed by Soramitsu? MrOllie (talk) 14:30, 17 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, no, I only saw paid editor started draft, but I did my own research and have been contributing to other pages. NO RELATION, NO COMMUNICATIONS. Making edits in CBDC and other cryptocurrency-related articles for the Wikiproject Cryptocurrency, soramitsu appears to have some value in the space. Metaxolotl (talk) 18:27, 17 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, the edited stub regarding Hyperledger Iroha was removed altogether, has it lost its encyclopedic value because there was a paid edit? Metaxolotl (talk) 09:36, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

The paid edits drew attention to the problem. MrOllie (talk) 13:02, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hyperledger Fabric Limitation

edit

Hello

Just wanted to add limitation of the hyperledger fabric. Any thoughts Like CouchDB as a state database has other limitations which reduce overall network performance and require additional hardware resource (and cost).
