There's a lot of discussion about restriction of encryption. Is there any evidence that encryption has actually facilitated HR? If not, how important can it be?Pigdog234 (talk) 14:31, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello.
This part of the lead section, "With the evolution of the digital age, the application of freedom of speech becomes more controversial as new means of communication and restrictions arise including government control or commercial methods putting personal information in danger. From a human rights perspective, there is a growing awareness that encryption is an important piece of the puzzle for realizing a free, open and trustworthy Internet.[1]" as per my understanding is too opinionated. This should either be removed or improved. As i am new, i can't improve this effectively.
Please help.

The two paragraphs explaining Human rights and cryptography are not necessarily needed for this article, as this is not an article about "Human rights" or "Cryptography", it's about both "Human rights and encryption". Angerxiety14:25, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
