Uniterran Church
editWhomever changed "Uniterran" church to "Unitarian" church is mistaken. The correct spelling is "uniterran" and is not in anyway assciated with the Unitarian church. Mirlin 00:10, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
Spiritualism
editSpiritualism was a major religious and philosophical movement that dominated Victorian culture in the U.S. and England during the latter half of the 19th century, and it was founded in Rochester (in 1848 by the Fox sisters). The Plymouth Spiritualist Church is still active, currently on Vick Park A. Shouldn't that be mentioned on this page? --WingedEarth (talk) 16:44, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Missing Information
editThe information on the land ownership is incomplete. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.21.108.250 (talk) 22:56, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Could you be a little more specific? Which information (there's lots on land ownership), and what needs to be added? Powers T 15:55, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
There was a major strike among garment workers in 1913 (10,000 women on strike) and 6 women were injured and 1 woman, Ida Breiman, an 18-year old worker was shot and killed. The strike lasted from January to April. However, I don't know much more about this strike.Jtyroler (talk) 21:23, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
French settlement
editAs currently written, this article begins with the American revolution. Some time well before that, if I remember right from the city history museum in Rochester, the first European settlement in the area actually was a French mission. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 19:35, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
