What a plot... oh boy. Passing.
In Production, there's note that they knocked off popular films, and they there were lots of comedy films with characters named after Sherlock Holmes. Does the source provide any examples? That's an interesting fact, that a silent film was actually rejected from release. I thought the massive production machine then would let anything reach screens! -- Zanimum (talk) 20:48, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Sadly no examples given. I'll do some research to try and find some other Sherlock Holmes knockoffs though. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 22:19, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
Query
editZanimum, Taylor Trescott, where does this stand now that three weeks have passed? I've just removed a "sic" from a quote ("clews" is a valid alternate spelling for "clues" according to my Webster's Collegiate). Zanimum, I think you're misreading the article: I believe it's saying the proposed story for a film, which included Hemlock Hoax as a minor character, was rejected (that is, not made into a film), not that the movie was produced but then not released. I have to confess that the amount of information in the article seems thin, I think because there's so much information that hasn't survived. I wonder whether it can be considered "broad" enough per GA guildelines without so many of those now-lost details. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:38, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
- If How Brown Saw the Baseball Game can become FA then I have little doubt that this can't be a GA. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 19:51, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
- User:Taylor_Trescott: Sorry, I've been distracted over the last little bit, recovering files, getting a new job, and helping wrap up my father's 28-year involvement in a non-profit. I'm back on the review, you should see my comments, if any, in a day or two. -- Zanimum (talk) 23:02, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
So sorry for all the wait. There's nothing left to comment on, it's a very clean article on this film. -- Zanimum (talk) 22:56, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
